The Managing Director of AB Offshore Marine Services Limited; Mr. Sunmola Bakare, accompanied by the Head of Corporate Services; Mrs Bilkis Lawal-Akinbola and Miss Marian Aigbedion, a National Youth Service Corp member, visited the Hearts of Gold Hospice in Lagos some days back.
Heart of Gold Hospice is a care and management center for children with special needs whose parents find it difficult to manage them, while some others were referred to the hospice by other Medical professionals. Some of the children in the center are faced with terminal and other life-threatening illnesses.
The Hospice was founded and is run by Mrs Theresa Adedoyin who is often times referred to as “Nigeria’s Mother Theresa”.
On our visit to the hospice, we joined Mrs Theresa Adedoyin in offering prayers to her children and also supported the hospice with some necessities such as; a Power Generating set, Beds, Mattresses, Bedsheets, Diapers, other sanitary items, food items for infants and children and a lot more.
AB Offshore Marine Services Limited on her visit also adopted the home as the number one charity home for her corporate social responsibility, as the visit heightened her awareness of the fact that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
We commend the management and staff of the Heart of Gold Hospice for rendering such a unique service to humanity.
